TamagoFit is a fitness gamification app where you raise a virtual pet by staying active. Your real-world steps and calories from Apple HealthKit power your monster's growth and coin earnings. Sleep is a manual toggle you tap in-app (Tamagotchi-style), though HealthKit sleep data earns you bonus coins for getting 7–9 hours. Think of it as a modern Tamagotchi that motivates you to stay fit!

Yes! TamagoFit is free to download and play. You earn coins through daily activity to buy food and items for your pet. Optional in-app purchases are available for extra coin packs if you want to speed up your progress, but they are never required.

TamagoFit is currently being developed for iOS and Android. iOS users get full Apple HealthKit integration. Android support with Google Fit integration is planned. Join the waitlist to be notified when we launch!

Download the app, create an account, and grant HealthKit permissions when prompted. You'll receive your first egg — walk 10,000 steps to hatch it and meet your monster!

With your permission, TamagoFit reads: daily step count (earns XP and coins), active calories burned (earns coins), and sleep hours (earns bonus coins for 7–9 hours of sleep). We also store walking/running distance and mindful minutes for future features, but these don't affect gameplay yet. We only read data — we never write to HealthKit.

Absolutely. Your HealthKit data is never sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or stored in iCloud. It is used exclusively within the app to power your pet's stats. We comply fully with Apple's HealthKit guidelines and GDPR/CCPA regulations. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

Steps and calories are core to TamagoFit's gameplay — without HealthKit, your monster can't earn XP from activity or gain coins from calories burned. Sleep in-game is a manual toggle so it works without HealthKit, but you'll miss out on bonus coins from real sleep data. We highly recommend enabling HealthKit for the full experience.

No. TamagoFit reads HealthKit data when you open the app — it doesn't run in the background. There's no background GPS tracking or continuous sensor monitoring. Battery impact is minimal.

Your monster's hunger and sleep bars decrease over time. If hunger reaches zero for too long, your pet may faint. But don't worry — you can revive it with coins! Revival costs scale with your level (100 + level × 50 + level² × 2 coins). We also send gentle reminder notifications (if enabled) so you don't forget.

There are over 50 unique 3D monsters across three categories: Blobs (starter pets), Flying creatures, and Big evolved forms. Each has its own look, personality, and evolution path. We regularly add new monsters in updates!

As your monster gains XP and levels up, it can evolve into a more powerful form. For example, a PinkBlob might evolve into a GreenBlob Evolved, and eventually into a mighty Dragon. Evolution is triggered automatically when you reach certain level milestones.

You raise one monster at a time — giving it your full attention and care, just like a real Tamagotchi!

Coins let you purchase items from the in-game shop, which has 7 items across food, tea, and candy categories. Each item affects your monster's hunger and/or sleep stats. You can also use coins to revive a fainted monster.

You earn coins through daily steps, calories burned, sleep bonuses, leveling up, maintaining daily streaks (with multipliers up to 2x at 30 days), and unlocking achievements. Active players earn plenty of coins through regular gameplay — in-app purchases are entirely optional.

Refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their refund policies. Virtual currency and items are non-transferable between accounts.

You can request account deletion by emailing privacy@tamagofit.app. We will delete all your data — including your monster, inventory, achievements, and health snapshots — within 30 days.

Yes! Your progress is synced to our secure cloud backend (powered by Convex). If you switch devices, just log in with the same account and your monster will be there waiting for you.
